Could anyone with any experience on these invertors please provide some guidance on setting up the parameters of this unit.

This is a replacement unit to replace a faulty unit installed by others.

Problem is other unit was put in bin before i could get parameters of it

Supply is 240v 50hz single phase

Details from motor plate are:

ELTA FAN
380-415/3/50
RPM 2800
FULL LOAD CAPACITY 2.5A

thats all i have.

thanks in advance

An ACS150 seems a heck of an overkill for that fan!
I have just replaced 2 controllers on these at about ÂŁ70 each & <1hr to fit.
Have you got the drive manual, I don't have it here, but normally motor FLC, rated rpm, nominal speed, & possibly efficiency and you could wing the rest.

It seems the fans are 3ph so nominal V may not be 230, it could be 415, as you enter motor data into the motor parameter set.
Too long since I set up an ABB drive, but most are the same TBH.
Just work through the drive manual set up and you'll get there.

230v in can not equal 400v out. Perhaps your fan motor is connected in star?

If so, theoretically you can connect it in delta at the lower 230v.

Your output current will be greater than 2.5A though.

i may be wrong Mr Foxx, but if he was going to connect to that drive in Delta, surely the nameplate should state 220-240/380-415V/3/50 or similar,
could the reason your replacing this faulty drive, be its the wrong type of drive?

as mentioned above the drive that this is replacing is exactly the same only with the other one it got covered in cooking oil and failed thus being put in bin by customer

Hi im also thinking you may have the wrong drive a 230v single phase drive is designed to run a 230v motor. If my memory serves me right the drive you have will give 3 x 133v outputs to the motor which should be connected in delta.

I think you need a 3 phase drive

Thanks for all above posts but got it all sorted last week. The drive was the correct drive but i had incorrectly entered the FLC of the motor. Originally the FLC on the 380-415 motor in star gives 2.5a. When i entered this into the invertor it ran on low speed but on full speed kept bringing up error motor temp to high. Thus it turn out that i forgot to times this by 1.73 to give me 4.325a when the motor was connected in delta. On entering the correct FLC the fan now works fine at any speed.

but the motor rating plate only stated 380-415v it was only when you rung the manufacturer that they told you that it could be connected in delta

i hope you pointed out to the manufacturer that if the correct info was on the name plate this would have been put to bed long ago:mad2:
