hi i wanted to know in alternating current how does the current travel in a hvac system because in a house
it goes through say outlet then reverses back in the neutral how does that happen in a hvac system

Looks like one of THOSE.........

so, simple answers first, the A/C travels through the wires in HVAC systems, just like any other electrical equipment. somehow I don't think this answer will satisfy you, but go on, we're all ears, or eyes, in this case.
Then, once the electric gets in there, it goes round and round, just like this thread is going to.

How are things in Modesto?

HVAC is Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning sytems run on a 3 phase system me thinks you are stuck in single phase or domestic mode remember electricity is generated in 3 phases so if you are driving along a motorway have a look at the electricity pylons you will see 2 sets of 3 cables or a supply going to a farm again 3 sets of cables on the wooden poles now in the city its the same thing but the cable is under the ground ie 3 phases that supply big buildings but when it comes down to houses they split the 3 phases across 3 houses hence if you loose a phase in a street it is every 3rd house that has no supply
