Went on a call to today , periodic em lighting , great 5 hours im done -or so I thought!
On initial verification seemed ok all as per drawing except 5 units in corridoor and wc not charging , took cover of final exit sign , batts not connected, conected and test no unswitched live , whipped the other downlighters out again no unswitched live at the inverter so I pull out the flexes looking for the terminal box , and hay presto there on klicks - now this would be ok on a demountable ceiling but its taped and jointed board and the kilcks are 2m away fixed to the trunking, long discussion with client regarding compliance and the need to cut out the ceiling, he accepts the fact it's got to come down and suggests his maintanence guy does it, along comes jack , I show him the areas that need to come down, shame he say's only completed four years ago , he disappears and I carry on checking drawings next thing bang bang bang , there stands Jack a ton of plaster board around him , sledge hammer in right hand . will that do he say's - Gob smacked I'm going back tommorow to locate the fault - I won't be asking Jack for help
