Anyone tried Crunch.co.uk? 50 quid a month or so, web-based and seems to cover the basics, plus they do your VAT returns etc for you.

Do you do your own or have a bookkeeper? If your own, what software?

Do it all myself, using Intuit Quickbooks Pro!

We're with Crunch. Setting-up as a limited company was straightforward and you're assigned an account manager who you can contact as often as you like. Had a few problems with their software initially but that seems to have been sorted out now. If you're just starting out, they don't offer as much advice as you'd like - you still need to know what you're doing and be able to make your own informed decisions, but they handle all the HMRC paperwork, VAT etc.
