i currently pay my electric bill quarterly, and have asked supply company for them to throw in a meter.

the set up is, my flat has own cu being fed from main board for building and is located in different entrance to my flat.

will the supply company be able to add meter beside my cu or will they put beside main board???

if you know thanks, hoping i dont have to go in other entrance to top my electricity

You dont "top up" a quarterly meter.. It just gets read and you get the bill. Having it ouside your home can be an advantage. You wont get massive estimates.

why do you want a key meter?? they cost more why not set up a account with supplier wher you get a card and take it to post office and pay say £10 a week on to it to help budget!

i used to work for npower many moons ago and know exactly how much EXTRA you get charged! its a lot

im not good with money, specialy these days .so just trying to break it all down. no cards here its bill or top-up as far as i know, the rate is 14p per kwh and 14p per day standard charge if i remember right

They do offer a payment system via pay point at post offices and shops. Got a top up meter fitted a couple of years ago and you save 2.5% of the standard tarriff. I just go online and top up with debit card easy.....
