Hi im doing a job where a single building is being turned into 3 flats. Ive never had to arrange any work from the supplier before does anyone know the process of getting them out to fit the additional meters. Im assuming its up to them to fit meters in possition and then me to take tails from new meters to each flat CU and does anyone know approx cost for this?

Cost depends on whether three phase is available or not. Most suppliers won't loop two additional supplies from a single phase cutout. If three phase is available you will need to get your DNO to raise the MPAN numbers for you. You can then go to your chosen supplier to get your meters fitted. As for the cost if you need a three phase supply in, well how long is a piece of string? Anything fro £1500 to £15000 depending on the existing network.

If you look on the internet for the suppliers website it will give you a number to ring for new installations, ring them and away you go,they will want to know a few things, max load number of phases etc but not to hard.Wouldnt know about price but it won't be cheap.
