ADE Optima Compact Quiet Bell

Hello, I have just installed an ADE Optima Compact with a Ventcroft Compact bell box. All seems to work okay including the internal sounder but the external siren is very quiet. I have checked that the white jumper is not in the "test" position. This is my first venture into alarm installations but fortunately, I am also the customer! Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

For anyone that's interested, it turned out to be the piezo. Many thanks are due to Ventcroft technical support at Runcorn who diagnosed it over the phone, first time.
