Discuss adjustable hole cutter in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi

I have one. Bought it from screwfix about a month ago.

It did the job putting some 200mm holes in a wooden ceiling. Drilled about 12 holes with no problem, and it seems like it will last a fair while as long as your carefull.

It comes with a spare set of blades which is good, so you can replace them then they get old :).

If you need to drill big holes in wood (thinish) then its definetly good!

I hope this helps.

Many Thanks

Leo

Hi Luke,
I use a similar cutter and havedone for about a year now. No problems at all. Mine is marketed as the 'beta adjustable hole cutter' although it is on the market under other brand names. can cost about 60 of our English pounds though but well worth it for d/lighters and the like.

Have always used one of them myself for plasterboard anyway. Could not do with out it. Better than filling drill up or covering someones carpet with crap. Nothing worse than seeing cowboy cut out holes with a pad saw.

Also good for cutting strands of cable armour, although I try to restrict their use to copper.
