Hi everyone

I'm after some advice on what to do next,im 27 and have spent the last few years working for facilities management company mainly carring out PAT testing..I've put my self through college and completed my 2330 level 2 and 3 and gained abit of electrical experiance with the firm but its mainly remedial work in offices etc and it's not very regular then its back to PAT testing...

should i keep phoning around local companies looking for a position as electricians mate or go down the agency route as an electricians mate? what have other people done after college?I'm just keen to gain more experiance...

I wouldn't feel comfortable working for myself yet due to lack of experiance, but im looking to get into the industry the correct way without taking any shortcuts.

Any advice?

Cheers
Mark

trty all local firms for a decent mate's job. also register with agencies. you might get a few weeks there while you are trying for something better.

^ What he said.
A permanent job would be preferable but hard to come by. Agency work might be a bit easier and you can gain experience that way, but some companies don't like to see it on a CV.
