Advice & Info On Solar PV Training Courses

Hello,
I'm currently a Dryliner and Cieling Fixer and want to change career as a Solar PV installer. I'm very interested in attending a tradeskills4u course called the Domestic Electrical Solar PV Installer. The qualifications gained are as followed; Inspecting & Testing C&G 2392-10, Part P Domestic Installers Course, C&G 2382-10 (17th Edition), BPEC Solar Panel Installation. The course runs for 22 days and costs £2800.

Can anyone give me any advice or info on this course or a similar course? Also, will these qualifications be enough to seek employment with a Solar PV Installation company?

I think those course are a load of bull how can you become a qualifed electrician in 22 days???????

you might get the papers but not the practical knowledge to install that comes with time & you will always learn somthing new every day , but a least it your foot on the ladder , you can do those course's for around £400.00 each any way

so its cheaper to do them seperate

Thanks for the info but I'm not expecting to be a fully qualified electrician, just enough training to gain employment with a Solar PV company as a trainee and gain the experience when on site. I'm just after abit of feedback to what people think of these courses and qualifications as regards to looking really keen to an employer and getting my foot in the door?

I would also ask them about the 'fail rate' and non-completion rate, these guys have great salesman and they make their money based on people quitting the courses.

Also you may 'fail' if for example you are 5 minutes late on 4 days...
