back to ruin
Hi all
The house which my son has just bought has a fairly new split cu which has a 40a mcb on the non rcd side feeding an old fuse box up in one the bedrooms upstairs, which is a BS 3036 semi-rewirable type. It has 4 x 15a fuses and a 5a. 3 of the 4 15a are radial circuits which supply the three bedrooms and the other is for the immersion on the hot water cylinder. The remaining 5a supplies all upstairs lighting. It must have been converted into two flats at some time in the past. My question is do we leave it alone, put a new consumer unit place of the old one or re-run it back to the main cu downstairs?
Many thanks Mick
