Hi

Need some advice.
Been asked to quote on a job to replace a CU in a garage from a 2 way to a 4 way with RCD.
Existing is 2 sockets in garage plus lights, they want to add outside lights and power and lights into shed(approx 20 metres).
The previous occupants fed the garage off a spur from house taken off the back of a double socket, main CU and meter is at the other end of the house and front and back is all landscaped .
Do I:
a) Put in a FCU and junction box and run everything into that and use the RCD on the main CU
b) Put in a RCD CU and connect all circuits to CU
c) any other option
d) walk away

Thanks

Install the 4-way board.

1 circuit -GaragePower--1 circuit Garage lights--1 circuit outside lights--1 circuit supplying your old 2-way board resited to Shed {In Serviceble condition & non RCD ,hopefully}. Supply Shed Lights and Shed power from seperate circuits from this old board.

One final point is if your supply from the back of the house socket is rcd protected then you need to install only main switch type boards cos if you dont then you will have no eath fault discriminatuion

Ideal situation would be new supply from garage board back to house mains position ,but if this is not possibkle then what erlse can you do, explain to client that available load is restricted to 13A.
