advice on 50kWp install

We have a 50kw install ready to start for a customer DNO accepted along with planning. Would really appreciate advice, we are using 3x SMA tripower 17000TL which have the G59/2 certs required by the DNO and they have told us that they will not need to witness the connection. Do we still require a G59-2 Isolation Relay Control Box, any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you not have to supply circuit diagrams to the DNO? If you included them in your circuit diagram then you will. You could always ring the DNO and ask them if you can do with out and simply rely on the G59 settings of the inverter.

At the present we were allowed to connect under g83 as I understand it upto 17kw per phase because of transition and we weren't required to fit a protection relay, needed to make some changes with grid guard to protection settings and send them in but no relay required. Ask the DNO what they want.
