Hi All,

I'm a third year Engineering Apprentice who is undergoing a Higher Apprenticeship (HNC on day release, NVQ 4 at work).

My background is mainly mechanical although I started off with an electrical PEO, but for the past year at work I've been doing work with PLCs (programming etc). My end goal is to take all of this into a Mechatronic Degree (BEng/BSc)

For me to take this on fully however I need to undergo training so I can work within machine panels which I'm not competent to do just yet. As a first step work have sent me on a 2365 (lvl2) in evenings, but looking forward once I have completed this what would be the next best step course wise to take? So I can be electrically qualified to do the work I hope to?

I'm confident work would back me to go into our maintenance department for a period of time to get experience and do work based assessments.

Thanks for your help

Cai
