Advice please on disconnecting a BT Box

Evening all,
I've been asked to see if I can disconnect a BT Box in the Bedroom which I'm sure is a secondary box. However, not having done enough with BT extensions etc, could I have some help please? I've attached a couple of images to show what I have at the Main Box. I think the Cable box is no longer used but is connected. I've not belled out the box in the bedroom but taking for now as a presumption due to location that the cable into the bedroom is the bottom left one.

Anywhere I can find more reading on Telecomms/data for future reference?

bear in mind that BT cables carry 50V.if you cauyse any probelms, then you will be expectred to pay for the repairs. if you search for BT installation or telephone installation on google, you should get some info

Find the master socket. It should have two cables (orange/white from memory). If it's an extension it will probably have 3 wires connected. There was a site that was quite good, I'll see if I can find a link.

That's the main incomming unless someone has used a master line jack as a secondary (slave)

Yep, looks like your extension cable (to the bedroom) is correctly connected to the first detachable faceplate (your second photo). Just pull the cables of the IDC connectors and your bedroom extension is dissed.

Although your first photo is showing a master socket, the BT incomer is not usually in the form of a two or three pair telephone cable, as is shown in the photo.

Main incoming is white and orange, belive white/blue striped should be terminated ino 2 & 5.
