hi looking to buy a multimeter ive got three in mind the meterl MI3000 easi plus, the kewtech or the fluke lookin to spend only a max £350 either ebay or new but would like advice on which ones are most user friendly and some insight into how you guys have found them ive tried looking for reviews on these units but feel i am chasing my tail so best to ask u lot thanks in advance :)

at that price i assume you mean a multifunction tester, they all pretty much do the same job and everyone will have there own choice, i personally have tried megger, fluke, metrel , and find the megger to be the best. second hand between £3-£400 new about £650 (1552) or £750 1553

ive just replaced my 1552 for a 1553 but there is no difference apart from bluetooth which isnt all that great anyway according to reviews.

I've got an old Megger CM500 and a Digilog 9083. The megger came from ebay for 198.- and I like it,
it has one test button and one dial switch, very easy to use but a bit bulky to carry. Don't think they make that
model any more. The Digilog is from TLC and was 380. It is only for domestic and light commercial only.

Usually you can't go wrong with Fluke but in the end they are doing all the same.

Megger 1553 for me. Have used both fluke and kewtech in the past, but prefer the megger. Some folk seem to prefer separates (can be useful if you're not the only one testing).

I was on a tight budget when I started up m8 and I bought the Metrel MI3000, decent meter, easy to use, not had a problem with it to date. Paid about £370 I think, for that kind of money, you cant go wrong.

maybe its Di-log v Metrel then?????

could get either new for the price of the 1552 Megger second hand...Choices eh

Gunner have you used a Megger? if so how do they differ.

looking at it with the harness it seems that the Megger is better ergonomically but with the price difference I'm sure that is livable.

each to his own,i hear the name megger and i think will cost more not because its megger,a bit like nike, reebok you pay for the name
