as title really, i have extended my kitchen ring main into a new conservatory (2 x double sockets)
i believe to have done it "by the book" i.e. crimped cables at exsisting kitchen socket, the problem i have is i need a completion cert to finalise my planning etc, is this a simple thing for me to get from a local spark? what kind of cost should i be looking at? and any local sparks to south lanarkshire in scotland fancy doin it??!

thanks in advance

To get a part P electrician to sign the work off they would have to do the actual work they cannot sign you work off as they havent done it and dont know if you have complied with the regulations.

What should have happened is building control from your local council should have been informed before work started and they would have issued a certificate at the end of it. This will cost you as building control will bill you.

It may be easier and cheaper to get an electrician to do the job completely and then they can issue the certificate you want.
