Hey - I’m about to attempt changing a ceiling light however a bit apprehensive with removing the old fitting until I fully understand the cables and connections required.
I have attached a few pics, would someone be able to run me through the requirements to connect the new fitting please.
Trying to research online however still not fully sure yet.
Any help appreciated.
Craig

I assume there is a block connector with three red wires not directly connected to the existing light fitting.

I’m unsure, not seen this. Why?
can I take the 3 blue/black grouped wires out of the existing fitting and simply insert them into the relevant L/N spaces on the new one. It came with a spare terminal block connector which I assume is for connecting the loop. I’m just unsure how to tell which is L, N and loop on the existing fitting.

The three red wires if present will be the loop. Are they shoved up into the ceiling void.
