And speak to a good accountant, worth their weight in gold.

Good luck mate.

I started on my own in 2008 very scary time. Cost me about 10k in total buying tools, van, tester, bit of stock.
Advice i would offer is.

By the right van first off. im on my second already. bought an astra first but was too small. all that money on the van and sign writing wasted.

Get a roof pipe, very usefull saves getting onsite with bent and broken conduit & capping. i recommend these people for van accessories Van roof racks, van Ply Lining Kits, van Roof Bars, van Steel Racking, Pipe Carriers, Lock Protection, seat covers and Bulkheads from Demar Suppliers in the UK

Keep all reciepts for everything. Hard one to get used too for me anyway.

Dont really know what to say about advertising. I do yell.com, first on google, and a local school diary. Calls so far from any of them in a year..... 0 !

Get a decent hands free kit for your van. i save loads of time talking behind the wheel.

Hope some of them help for you. Any more specific questions feel free to ask

cheers for your advice you made some very good points.my brother is a manager for mercedes and is trying to sort me a van (at a good deal ).just need to sort the financies !
