So I've had a quote for a 4kw system comprising of:

16 x Solarworld Plus SW 250 mono black
Afore HNS3600TL inverter
Solar iBoost immersion heating kit
Watts On device to monitor usage and generation

Cost ÂŁ7000 with 5 years 0% finance via Barclays... in reality the price is elevated a bit I think to account for the 0%...

From what I can tell the panels are good and the iBoost thing is, but I can't find anything on the Afore inverters, which leads me to think they're either new, or rubbish?

Afore are a solid, no frills option from a Chinese manufacturer with a decent UK support office. Single or dual tracker with a wifi bolt-on (RS485 converter). 10yrs warranty as standard too. They also have a 1kW unit that has a 60vdc startup.

Thanks, so they're not a particularly bad option then?

They've said if I'm not happy with it they can install one of the following instead:
Solarworld Sunplug 3.6 TL1i
Aurora Power One PVI-3.6-OUTD
GoodWE GW3600DS

Anyone have opinions on those?

ABB PVI-3.6 is a no-brainer for a decent, mid-spec alternative but typically 5yrs warranty as standard. Nothing wrong with the Afore, would put it in the same camp as the GoodWe. No idea about the Sunplug....

the solarworld is a rebadged Stecagrid SG3600, but with online web monitoring as standard. Very efficient bit of kit.

Thanks both :) The Solarworld did stand out as it had the best efficiency ratings. I guess either the Solarworld (Steca) or the Aurora (ABB) would be good choices then.
