Africanised bees

Had to help out some guys at a substation getting stung by feral bees,they had swarmed from somebodys property nearby who shall remain nameless,well I just happened to have a queen catcher on me called my old mum said bring out a nuke box,a local beekeeper,dressed like a spaceman was obviously out of his depth,we set up the nuke below the earthing transformer,got the old slapper and a few consorts plus some honeycomb babies and drone cone set up a few frames,told the POCO guys she'll release a hormone now does 2 things represses the unmated queens sexuality if any,plus the other workers will over a few hours fly into the nuke and restablish themselves,always liked bees as a kid,wonder if you guys over there ever have to deal with them hopefully a non lethal result for bees and yourselves.

Feral bees? As opposed to nice tame domesticated ones that will sit in your lap and be stroked?

Given that you're, apparently, in Australia why should this person's identity remain hidden? Is it some sort of global superstar like Dame Edna?

Why was the queen catcher called your old mum? Does she have some sort of superpower over bees like I'd imagine Wonderwoman to have?

Why was the spaceman dressed like he was out of his depth? And wtf was an astronaut doing there anyway?

Who are the POCO boys? There was a band from California years ago called Poco, was it them? If so wtf were they doing there? Just catching a few bees on their way to the next gig?

Right, I've been thinking about this and I think I've got it figured out.
The bees couldn't have been africanised ones because Australia has very strict rules on what can and can't be brought in and it's a hell of a way for an african bee to fly there so I reckon they were just in a bad mood because they'd missed out on tickets for Poco's gig at the substation (well you know, people don't go much for that southern california soft/country rock any more)

The Queen Catcher is like the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (only a lot less scary) and is the alter ego/day job of his old mum (haven't quite got that bit sussed but stay with me, I'll get to it eventually)

The person's identity must remain a secret because that person is on the run, in a kind of Lord Lucan/Shergar/Ronnie Biggs stylie. Why the person is on the run isn't quite clear but it must be for something big. Maybe a Doctor Evil kind of bloke. OJL knows him because he's in on the scam to take over the world.

The spaceman was really Felix Baumgartner rehearsing for his next publicity stunt for a soft drinks manufacturer and was out of his depth because the substation where Poco were playing is below sea level.

And finally, Poco were there because it was soundcheck time and had ****ed the bees off even more by refusing to autograph their wings. Hence the stinging of the poor innocent electricians who were only there to set the stage lighting up for said Poco gig.

See, it's easy when you put your mind to it.
