Aga down lights

Morning All...

After some more advice please. Maybe someone has done this before.

Have kitchen refurb where existing Aga is having faux chimney built around it - see piccy attached.

They want some lighting in here, ideally down lights.

Anyone know what expected ambient temp could possibly get up to ? And what lights would be suitable.
(They're not so keen on LED strip)

Checked out some collingwood deck lights only rated to 50degrees which guessing may not be enough.

Thanks Sy

Don't know about the ambient temp, but I doubt it'd be all that high.

Halogen GU10's or MR16's would work I'm sure.

JLEDs do a (very expensive) LED tape that is supposedly good for 100 deg C. Having installed some for a customer in a fireplace next to a wood burner, I suspect it's just normal LED tape in a silicone profile.

The regular IP65 LED tape I use is stated as good for 60 deg C. However , when researching for the above mentioned job, I took a short length of this tape and put it in a pan of water on a rolling boil for ten minutes, just to see how it fared. It worked just fine when I tested it afterwards.
