aico alarms carecall

Hi all

Wondering if anyone has worked much with carecall/monitered domestic systems. Have some flats to replace smoke alarms, co alarms and het detectors.

The flat at present has one smoke alarm ontop of a relay linkee to carecall through ohone line
Also has a cirxukar heat detector again with its own relay under it connected to carecall.
Finally thr co alarm is connected to again its onn relay.

Whats confusing me is although each alarm has its own relat, they are all interconnected.

The job is to install a new optical 10 yr by wireless so need to change one base to be a wireless base or could order a wireless relay base.

Wondering in these type of systems is it normal to have a relay per alarm?

First of all before doing anything i suggest you contact Carecall UK as ask permission to interfere with their equipment.
The reason for each sensor to have its own relay is so the control center knows which device has been activated....the system also monitors the batteries in all units.

Yes arranged to meet the technician but just wanted to do my own research so didnt look completely clueless! Yes was presuming they had a relay for each alarm for that reason but have seem some that had interlinked alarms and only one relay for them all.

Carecall is a rented system through local councils, they replace smokes a call pendants free of charge....!!

Its a housing assosiation amd council thats gettin us to do it, not sure of politics, dont get paid to worry bout that ha!

If its the new radio system...speak to Carecall and get like for like.....as stated the system reports low battery, faults and calls to the central station...not worth messing abaut to adapt Aico to fit
