Airside Clearance

Hi all,

I have asked before about getting airside clearance, and it now seems clear that you have to get a job first then the company will apply for you.

What if you were self employed? How would you go about it then?

I have phoned Glasgow airport security and put the senario to them "I have been offered a job working in the airport for which I require Airside Clearance How would I go about getting airside clearance?"
The reply was that I would require clearance requested by company I was going to be working for and that clearance would be removed at end of job "
so Basicaly I couldnt get airside clearance without company sponser

is the job you have been asked for it for through an agency called "guampany" think thats how its spelt? if it is Iv spoken to them on the phone and they (IMO) know as much about requirements as my mum who has only been to the airport twice to pick me up

the last time I spoke to Glasgow Airport security it was staffed entirely with mainly female Australian and New Zealand Backpackers who said that I would have to prove my nationality and they would interview me to make sure I was Scottish as I could be a forigner for all they know and some kind of tewowist! I hate when foreigners come to my country then talk down at me double ANGRY!!!!! I wouldnt get away with doing that to them in THEIR country my feet wouldnt touch the floor.
