You have the tamper, trig and -ve connections wrong at the sounder as marked

Taken from the manual

The terminals are summarised as follows:
T - -Ve tamper return
A - -Ve supply (0V)
D - +Ve supply (12V)
B- -Ve Sounder trigger

I give up ! ! ! !

You have a drawing or manual and can’t connect White to whatever with out making a mess of it. there’s only five wires!

I’m sorry but get someone that can read a drawing or isn’t colour blind!

Just noticed an error in my reply so I'm not sure I can comment at least I noticed the error. My excuse it was late and nearly bedtime when I posted it

It's a dying art reading drawings and it doesn't get you a C&G numbered piece of paper

Thanks

I confused, how do you hand in course work or homework if you can’t follow drawings. Please remember it’s years since I was in collage.

It's years since I was at college.

A lot of sparks these days are only operating in the domestic sector and it is not very often you use drawings. Coupled to the lack of apprenticeships and the increase in quick training reading drawings is something where experience can be lacking IMO

The reference to C&G is that all courses have been divided up to generate more income over the years and this is one course they haven't done yet

Domestic electricians always seem to struggle following wiring diagrams. A few years ago when working for a company that did council maintenance, one of the more competent sparks couldn't understand how to wire a intercom system even with the diagram as the colours in the cables he had were different to the ones it said to use on the diagram.

The previous bell box worked fine. I think it was just lacking the added security of anti tamper. Can this one be wired the same?
