Hi
When supplying an alarm circuit on a 17th edition board should it be RCBO protected on non RCD side,on RCD side or on MCB on non RCD side?

I thought RCBO on its own but chap i'm working with disagrees

I would prefer to install RCBO / NonRCD. This provide RCD protection, but cannot be effected by any other circuit, same as smoke alarms.

Would agree, totally seperate.

You can still fit the RCBO circuit after the main switch and before the first RCD unit i.e:

Main switch > RCBO > RCD > Circuits > RCD > Ciricuits

Or opposite:

Circuits < RCD < Circuits < RCD < RCBO < Main Switch
