Hi there,
I have a honeywell optima compact panel and wanted to do the walk test, but doesn't work. Tested detectors given them direct 12 voltage, they are ok. They don't get 12 voltage from the panel, checked wireing, it is wired as shown, it should be correct. Checked output on panel and it is 1.2 voltage instead of 12 voltage at points ( +13V, -0V), where I connected the detector's (+,-).
What did I do wrong?
many thanks for all advise and a happy christmas to everyone

you could have a duff battery dragging down the voltage. also a fuse may be blown.

as telectrix says battery or fuse, what tester did you use to test voltage could you have had it on the wrong and the 1.2 is actually 12 if so then you need to check you wire to the pir, if its a new install you have done check for staples in wire normally the case

agree seen it done loads of times normally staple through wire, did a mates alarm once he put the cable in and stapled it all up, but he manged to staple through the wire in about 3 different places lol
