Hi there

fitted a eurosec tate Few002 alarm panel and keypad in place of an existing alarm panel last week and have had some issues as ive never installed alarms before. i used the exisiting wiring, pirs, and bellbox, the pir's and keypad i am sure are connected ok however i have connected the bell box the way i think however when i go to program it the key pad states bellbox tamper, im not sure what this means, all the covers are on at this point to i know there is no mechanical mechanism triggering the fault therefor have i done something incorrect?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks

Sound like you have the bell connected incorrectly, measure between 12v and TR terminals. You should get 13v ish. The TR (Tamper Return) terminal will be pulled to 0v when the bell cover is fitted.

Also try a temp link between 0v & TR this should clear the fault.

what he said. ^^^^^. nice panel, the eurosec. if i remember, there's a programming option for the bell type. could be that. some older bells are +ve tamper.

Hi there thanks alot, The connections on the bell box are from left to right
Strobe. 0V. Tamp. Bell 12V
S. D. C. B. A

Any ideas as to what connections on the panel these should go to?

thanks

Assuming it is a texecom bell which it sounds like.

A = bell +
B = bell -
C = SAB Tamp
D = bell hold
S = Strobe

Hope this helps
