If you have had the bonnet open recently check the bonnet switch quite common on most cars for this to start happening after you have checked the levels or topped up the fluids

plug it in to a diagnostic computer and it will tell you what triggered the alarm at any time. just do a global scan for all faults, erase them all and then go from there.if some don't erase, then you know you have an issue with whatever it says.
