Posted in here as I can't post in the Alarms section, basically I am trying to source a wired domestic burglar alarm for a mate of mine with the following:

1. 3 x PIR Zones
2. 3 x Door magnets
3. 1 x remote key pad
4. Activation auto dial (to ring/text a programmed mobile telephone number with a pre-recorded message to alert the home owner)
5. Multiple PIN Codes (One master for home owner, up to 4 more for other persons)
6. External Siren Box
7. Key Fobs (Optional)

It seem most of the shelf items these days are wireless, but he wants wired. Any recommendations? Also is there any issues around using magnetic door contacts on french doors? How have you in the past over come the getting round the lintle, and fixing to a PVCu frame? The other difficulty I see is that these doors open inwards rather than outwards, is that going to be a major issue do you think? Let me know your experiences.

Thanks for your help.

For a good system take a look at Texecom stuff www.securitywarehouse.co.uk Don't know where you've been looking but all Alarm suppliers I know of still stock plenty of Wired systems. Fixing to PVC frames: We allways used the same colour cable as the frame & a Hot melt Glue gun for attaching cable to frame, not had any problems with it so far.
