Hello All,

I have just been called out to a alarm system where the system does not set on a timer, you have to press the set key to make it set, it is an Accenta Mercury 6. Anyone know the engineer menu map for the timer setting, it also does not set the alarm off when the front door has been opened.

Thanks

normally, you enter the user code and press set for full set. check if there's a contact on the front door. if there isn't one, then it won't activate the alarm when you open the door.

There is a contact on the door front and I think there is one on the back, but when you type the code in and it starts to arm, it should arm itself automaticly in 10 seconds, but is does not, it goes on and on with the setting bleeps. When you open the front door and the alarm has set after having to press set, it starts to give you the entry bleep, but again after 10 seconds with no code the alarm should go off, but it just carries on bleeping.

Thanks

The panel has either been set for final door arm, or the front door contact is constant o/c.
1. Check opperation of contact with meter.
2. Check panel is programmed for timed exit and not final door exit.
