might not be the best quality, but aldi set of 8 VDE screwdrivers, ÂŁ4.99. at that price well worth a punt for an apprentice.

i bought a set last time they where on the deal , i didnt need them and didnt really want them but i just cant walk past a good deal , stuck them in the boot of my car and they have come in handy at times the ends on the philips wear easily tho , the socket tester is also a good deal

I bouht a set a few months back. Pretty much worth the money, but not a penny more. I used only the pz2 and the large terminal driver really. The pozi has rounded off and the termy has a twist on the blade.
Not really disappointed as its what I expected for the money.

you can get a decent set for ÂŁ20, is it really worth buying those horrible aldi ones to save ÂŁ15, what most electricians make less than an hour?
i would not have them if you paid me! i was at gateshead college the other week and the guy pulled out the biggest pile of mickey mouse tools i have ever seen. looked like most of it came from christmas crackers. snips that close and you can see 1mm of daylight through them, screwdrivers that twist, with horrible grips and rounded heads that don;t really fit in any screws. and it was all new gear, he said thats all they can afford!
my apprentice will have a bloody good go at ****!ng anything up, he doesn't need a crap set of tools to make things harder too

I’m off to buy some screw drivers tomorrow. I won’t be needing the voltage tester. If anyone want’s it, they can have it. By the time I’ve finished squeezing it into the packaging with a hammer, it will be arriving through the post as a 3D jigsaw puzzle.;)

Kamikaze does another act of Jesus and pulls another thread from death valley.

Those screw drivers are rubbish btw. Seen a few trainees with them, lasted a week if they were lucky. As above just buy a set of CK's, Wera, Wira etc for around ÂŁ20 and replace them when you break or loose them.

Aldi do a half descent lasagne, needs a bit more cheese on top imho. Try it, it is ok.
