Just had a client (builder for new builds) ask if we can finish a job that we started a year and a half ago. Originally had the modules fitted (2x 250W Jetion) and they forgot to call us back to 2nd fix inverter and generation meter (actually left it until they got sale). The job had been originally specified with a single Steca 500 unit but these don't look to be available any more and the Steca 300 is only G83/1 compliant.

Anyone got any idea what would work for this as an alternative?

Mastervolt Soladin 600 would work OK but is discontinued and only G83/1. The replacement 700 is due out in May and is G83/2 but they haven't got prices sorted yet. I'm surprised there is such little choice for 2/3 panel systems as there are hundreds of these systems going up to "tick the box" on new builds. A 500W system seems a little pointless to me but still...

Yes, proving to be a bit of a nightmare. The Encsys and Enphase are not compatible with the panels and as you say most kit of the right size is not G83/2.

Putting u a couple of extra panels looed like a option but trying source the same Jetion models from a year back isn't easy! Might have to wait for then Soladin 700.

Black mono's. Client has agreed to pay for new panels and using enphase, so back up on the roof it is! On a side note I spoke to enecsys and a G83/2 won't be available until the next generation of devices. Enphase can be updated to /2 via the gateway, an even by a 'traveller' gateway for systems when the gateway is not going to be used.
