Hi I've got my Am2 coming up and I was told about the 2 way intermediate lighting being done in Twin and earth and 3 core. Having spent my apprenticeship using singles this is different to me. Also they have told us that we will have to wire straight to the first switch with wago connectors used on the neutral to take it to the light.
I would upload a drawing but Im not sure how but could someone tell me if this is the right way to go about this?:
1. Twin and earth to first switch Live to L1 neutral in wago.
2. Twin and earth from first switch to light. Live from L2, neutral from wago.
3. 3 Core and earth from first switch to intermediate switch. L1 to L1, L2 to L2 and common to a wago in intermediate.
4. 3 core and earth to 3rd switch from intermediate L1 to L1, L2 to L2 and common from the wago at intermediate switch.
Sorry if that wasnt clear. Is there anyone else that have done their AM2 recently that can clarify?
Normally on site I would just take the feed to the common of the first switch and switch wire out the common of the 3rd switch with the strappers inbetween but I was told this would be wrong on the exam? Would appreciate any advice!
