read quite a bit on here about the AM2 on-line exam. Most people seem to say that no revision is necessary but I would still prefer to go in confident than blind. My question is whether it is beneficial for me to revise Part P? I have downloaded an exam simulator solely for part p and it has plenty of questions on it (100+). Do you think this will help or am I just wasting my time in terms of revision? I've done my L2 & L3 2330 so am used to online exams etc. Was just wondering if any of the questions on this will come up or am I just wasting my time. The simulator covers special locations, identifying conductors, health and safety etc.

Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated

thanks

You are going to need to know the electrical regulations not a building regulation so use the BGB and OSG for revision, I am sure if you search around the likes of amazon and eBay you will also find some other guides geared towards it too

I did mine in January, the online is the easiest bit. If you're competent enough to navigate through the regs book and the OSG then you won't have an issue. If you need any other advice I'd be happy to help

The online exam is really easy mate you have GN3,the regs and part p book all the answers are in there you just need to be able to use the glossary at the back. I know a few lads that failed it but they said that was thew them not reading the quistion correctly

If it's written like that, I can understand them not reading the quistion correctly.....

As stated above, i was under the impression that the AM2 was purely a practical exam??

Can someone enlighten me about this designation of ''Online'' exam. Are these Online exams conducted at the college on college computers, or at home on your own computer/laptop or either??
This online malarky is totally foreign to me.... lol!!

At college or training centre on their computers, then submitted to City and guilds for results etc. It's a gift of an exam. If you don't pass it I'm afraid you'd be best not even attempting the practical section of the AM2. Saying that, even the AM2 practical exam is simpler than it was a while ago.

Foreign to me, too. Seems like 'Allo, Allo' with all this spelling and english pronunciation.
