Stumbled across this template in one of our offices the other day. Before we had British Sparks on the ground, there was an american electrician in charge of it all.

I cannot believe this is the document used to certify his work!!??

No not with KBR. I'm with Arkel on the Majnoon Oil field.............I have met a couple of ex-KBR sparks out here, but no americans! lol

How you finding it? Whats your Rotation like?

It's starting to get old now lol. 70/90:21 rotation. I've got 6 months left on this contract then we will see whats out there. Fancy somewhere more 'freindly'.

You havn't came across any american attemps at SWA then lol?!

Your rotation is much better than mine! so i can be home for xmas......I'm pulling a 21 weeks / 4 weeks off this stint.

Personally, i couldn't see myself going back to work in the UK anytime soon. Would you after working over there?

No American SWA, no...........?

I mean their attemps at what we know as SWA. They don't use it in the states, its to complicated!lol

Well, I will swop jobs with you then lol.

It is starting to get chilly here now. It's dropped 10-15 in the last week!

Is that rotation through choice or is it specified by the company?

I think you'll find that they do indeed have very similar SWA cable and glands in the States. They may not be as popular as they are in Europe, but they do have this cable!!! We have used it on a project that was literary all based on American standards.

That goes for both LV and MV multi core cables....

Hi again, "trying to save money" doesn't really come into it. We parted company with the original sparky, as he was so unreliable. Jon
