I have a light in the kitchen, its a light under the cabinets. Im currently operating at 12v at 20w drawing 1.67a. I got this by using p=iv. Now i was intending on changing to 240v at 2w and was getting 0.01a using the same equations. Now this seems odd to me, because even if i changed the 2w to 100w i will still be drawing less amps than the above 12v 20w i am currently using. That just doesnt seem correct to me.

I hope thats clear im not a qualified electrician so any help would be appreciated. Cheers!
