I know the whole pricing thing has been done to death, but I am feeling a little despondent at the moment as i've had a few quotes rejected of late. So, if anyone can give opinions on price I would be very grateful.

1. Change 30 s/o for chrome, replace all switches (again chrome), change approx 12 light fittings for new, install 2 x security lights, FCU for electric fire and hang said fire. All scokets/switches/FCU's supplied by me.Priced the materials @ approx £400 (nexus chrome fittings, so not the cheapest)

2. Shower installation, approx 20m 10mm T&E thru attic, down wall in trunking inside built in wardrobe, under floorboards (tongue and groove type flooring to be pulled up by myself), new MCB and Isolator. Also like for like Extractor fan replacement (supplied and fitted).

Like I say, any opinions on the above would be much appreciated, dunno if I am too pricey or others are too desperate!!

Very difficult without seeing it but feel £1200 including materials.

However if they are flat plate then I would quote myself out of it as that will be a real big time pain in the backside!

I quoted £800 for the first job, then for the shower and extractor £260, so from what you say thats not too expensive?

Just had e-mail off the customer who wanted the shower and extractor, someone else has gone in at £130 not including the extractor but incuding the cable, isolator, trunking etc.. How can I compete with that :-(
