Passed my first ELECSA assessment on Thurs without any problems and found the assessor really excellent.I would say the main thing is to be very well prepared on both theory and practical. It also paid off to have studied The Electricians Guide to Building regulations beforehand.I think all the questions have been covered on previous ELECSA threads.

After the email from napit and the cock up with the data protection sending out email addresses i think ill stay with elecsa £300 is tempting for full scope but mistakes they made shouldnt happen .........Well done mate

Got my fifth on Thursday morning 9.30am. They get better as the years go by and they have got to know you. I have had 3 different assessors, all good helpful lads, and more importantly they aren't pen pushers, they are real Electricians just like us. I've been well impressed with Elecsa over the years, i just wish they would push the boat out a bit to get some more credibility alongside NICEIC to give us more of a chance. I hope that sooner or later the Elecsa brand will be dropped and we will be just under the banner of The ECA.
the ECA is the original body and was invented before NICEIC, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get it back in front. I will once again air my gripe with the assessor about this on thursday. I will let you know what his comments are.

Cheers...........Howard

Well done!

Is it me or are there more people deciding to go down the Elecsa route recently? Times may be changing - for the better HAHA

Had what i thought was 5ft annual surveillance visit, but was 6th. No problems sailed through, he did pick me up on a couple of minor "silly" mistakes on my certs which I know and he Knew i shouldn't have made. So thats it taxed and tested for another year.
