Just wondered what dimmers people use for ansel orbio 360's. I know they state that you should only use the orbio 360 dimmer but I don't think they dim as well as they could. does anyone have any recommendations? thanks

I've just stuck with the recommended dimmer. Would worry me that they wouldn't honour the warranty if you went against their advice and used another dimmer.

I know what you mean about the dimmer though - think it dims to 12%, and a few customers have commented it'd be nice to go slightly lower.

Be interested to hear if anyone has used other dimmers though.

i know what you mean with the warranty. I installed one in my office/tv room and noticed at low level it almost flickers. It's not very noticeable but I have an eye for little things like that.

Try replacing the dimmer, I swapped one that was doing that and as far as I know it's cured the problem.

If it's in your house and theres only 1 fitting to affect the warranty of, I'd certainly give another brand of dimmer a go. Maybe a Varilight V Pro.

Ahh thanks for that's. Funny you say that as in another room I have one and they seem to be fine when dimmed. Ive used the varilight v pro dimmer before on other fittings and they do dim very well especially with the benefit of being able to program them. I'm just apprehensive sometimes with jobs for customers with the risk of being called back if there's problems.

They do say only to be used in conjunction with their dimmer. Maybe looking at changing to different fittings in the future if you have concerns. Maybe the aurora integrated fittings as they list compatible dimmers. http://gb.auroralighting.com/Documents/aurora-dimmercompatibility-uk.aspx
