All of a sudden this afternoon my anti virus software started throwing up a warning on these forums. It was fine this morning, and my A/V has not updated since then, so something on the forum has changed.
Using trendmicro A/V (yes, I know its not that good, but when purchased it was the only one that could work with a 64bit server with 32bit clients).
The warning was 'unauthourised URL detected on this site', so there is a link here somewhere that is deemed as dodgy.

Are you still having this problem? it may only come up when you access certain threads where links have been posted, so please let us know if you find anything else.

thanks.

I had someone post a iffy link onto my site the other day and got a warnign from google that they were going to blacklist the site. I had to reupload the site and all was fine again. Seems like there are peopel out there who know too much.
virusus are a right pain to get off the pc when they get in as well. I regukarily use another antivirus package to check my pc in case the installed package misses something.

Watch out fot a mail attachment saying OSAMA BIN LADEN CAPTURED AND HUNG if you open it it crashes your computer and there is nothing you can do to get it working again.

Nothing on the forum has changed at all. It has to be something your end. We run on state of the art Dell's. And I personally browse the forums using a 64bit using AVG and 32bit using Norton amongst having various malware, spyware and adware scanners amongst other things.

Nothing is ever dodgy on the forums, ever.

Go check your systems if you've noticed it so soon it's more than likely to be something your end.

One thing you can do, is check TilersForums.co.uk | Tile Forums | Tiling Forum, Plumbing Forum | Plumbers Forums | A forum for plumbers in the UK and Plastering Forum | A Forum for Professional and DIY Plasterers in the UK to see if you get the same message there.

I'd also make sure you have your system up to date as that sounds like you've had trendmicro a while. Both Avast AND AVG do protection for your setup now, so I'd move over to something much more reputable.

Keep us posted, though perhaps give me a nudge in future rather than scaring the members :)

I guarantee it's not the site with a problem though 110%

Could be a virus as some can block your AV from installing updates.

One little test you could do is point your browser to a well known global anti virus website.
Some viruses that block you from updates also block access to these websites.

try running AVG free and spybot search and destroy, also free.
When I had pc I used those and they worked better than most AV's that you have to pay for and never hogged all the memory either. Also try clearing all your cookies as you may have a virus stored in there. If your using IE go download firefox :p

I use those at home, but this is a works machine, so I'm stuck with trendmicro, I do use firefox though.

Its all clear again today. Wierd.
