Hello there,

First off thanks for viewing this post. My names Josh and i'm 22 years old. When I left school I did my City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 but lost funding for level 3 due to my birth date. Its been 3 years since I did anything to do with Electrical work since i've been in different types of jobs.

I called my old college to see what information they could give me regarding what I could do to get back into it and they told me my course was no longer available and I would have to pay to restart a new course from scratch. Is this the only option or is it still possible to do the City & Guilds 2330 Level 3?

If so does anyone have any idea of colleges in West Midlands area that do part time courses or even a fast track type course.

Update: I have just enquired with TradeSkills4U and they said some of my 2330 is transferable but not all?

Cheers!

2330 is no longer available and has transferred to the 2357 (some of which can be covered by the 2365).
If you compare the units from the levels 2 and 3 2330 and 2365 you can see that there are some similarities and these similar units should be able to be credited to you as recognition of prior learning toward the 2365, however there have been some changes and these are the units you would need to take to complete the current qualification.
Since you have done the 2330 level 2 you may be able to start at the 2365 level 3 if you talk to your college, but as TS4U says some bits may still be missing.
