Any Baxi CH combi boiler buffins out there? Help needed

Hi i have a Baxi Combi Instant 105e and having a spot of bother with heating side, works fine for hot water but doesnt always switch heating on with timer but sometimes does? if it doesnt come on if i run hot tap and boiler fires up heating will then come on.
Had a Gas safe bod look at it and he just shrugged his shoulders and said it could be this or that and to start by changing X and then Y and so on? Alarm bells rang regarding cost so if ant one could piont me in the right direction that would be great.

May not be the right question to ask in this forum. ;)

I had a similar problem with my Vaillant Boiler and worked OK once the water pressure is set to the optimum level.

Not sure this applies to your boiler. Good luck!
 
could be motorised valve sticking
 
Does it have a manual or digital timer?
Does the heating work if it is on manual manual override rather than timed setting?

I have the Baxi 80e, on mine there is no motorised valve, but there is a 3" rubber diaphragm that operates microswitches to switch between heating and hot water, when that splits usually the hot water is lost.
