I used to enjoy F1 before it became all Hi-Tech and Big Business but now I'd rather play with a Scalextric set or poke red hot needles in my eyeballs.

So much going on in F1 right now, and not one bit of it enjoyable. We've gone from Red Bull ultra domination to complete Mercedes domination, and getting ready for the biggest upset yet when Hamilton gets robbed this weekend.

Two teams bankrupt.

F1 needs a major re-think to make it really, truly competitive. We want to see racing, amongst racers. A maximum (realistic) budget should be set, and teams free to choose their own tyres.

I loved the 2010 championship when its was all wide open at the last race, but this season's excitement has been limited to see who would throw the first punch, Lewis or Nico. Pathetic and unprofessional.

What about this for an idea, The teams are allowed to develop the car anyway they want within regulations, but drivers are kept in a pool and each team draws two names out of a hat to race each weekend, including practice. All teams put into a driver's fund from which every driver is paid the same with a winner's and runner's up bonus.

The driver's feedback is what helps develop the car, you would also be doing away with the driver's championship.

How about this for an idea?

Ditch qually.
Have the drivers start the race in the reverse order of how they finished the previous race.
Winner starts at the back......
Then there would be overtaking.........

Bernie needs to retire - NOW.

The aged idiot said today that F1 doesn't need younger fans!!

Is he looking to get sponsorship from Saga?

The only thing that needs changed is the money bernie creams off is redistributed to the lesser teams. The first bit of f1 i ever watched in my life was adelaide 1994 (i was about 8 years old. Up early alone on a sunday morning parents still in bed) after the schumacher/hill collision i was hooked and never missed a race since.

The funny thing was whenever i watched the bbc red button i missed the start and they were focusing on adelaide 94. It made me all nostalgic. (Of course i watched the repeat to see senna/prost)

Driver's would/ could still feedback on car, but anyway, just bring back testing. Secondly, how would it, with each driver retaining his points from whatever drive he got that weekend. It would put much more emphasis on driver ability. The ultimate would be to severely limit all teams designs but that would hamper the development the feeds down to road car design.

Its was already tried with a1 racing i didnt like it. The new e1 series has caps on spending it could maybe have some merit but i think you are throwing out the baby with the bath water.

What would you propose to end team (and subsequently - driver) domination? Lewis was lured away from McLaren by Mercedes developing a car to the new regulations way before anyone else. They pulled him to onside and said ' look fella, we knew this was coming and look what we've got'.
