Was wondering if anyone here could offer anything in the way of information about companies, necessary training, expense of the training that sort of thing.

Getting a bit sick of renovations and telecomms work to be honest. looking for a change of scenery with some better work.

Well you are looking at about £800 for your BOSIET (survival), when i done mine last year i got my MIST for £25. another £100+ for medical. All 3 of them are necessary for going offshore. alot of companies are looking for you to have compEX which will set you back roughly £1000.

As for companies to try, i am at a loss. there is a contact list on here somewhere. i have had one trip offshore, in holland, a couple of years ago but nothing since.

i have just been emailing CVs every week or two and phoning them twice a week.
