Any recommendation for a label printer?

I need to get a new label printer that is durable and does not need a mortgage to buy. Can anyone recommed one or at least give me information of what they have and if they are happy with it.

We use Rhino at work, they are Dymo's industry range. Think we paid about 100 each inc a hard case.

Of course you can buy them for 20 quid or so. Depends on how often you use it. Ours get good battering in the panel shop.

to be honest its about the same price to buy a new one every time with free tape as it is with tape seperate

(this is the cheap ones though)

I use the brother p touch. There cheap enough and does the job.

I have a rhino 6000. The most useful feature for me is you can connect it to a laptop, "design" the label and see exactly how the label will look before printing.

I've got a P-7600 and it will also do PC hookup for label designs etc. It will also do a whole big heap of other things like sequential barcoding/database for PAT's and has buttons on it that I've still to work out after nearly two years. The only downside is the cost of the tapes.

i got a Dymo Letratag handheld unit, ideal for basic labelling and can take a whole range of label types

It was around £14 from Argos with a free tape, had it around 7 years now and still works well, dymo still sell the exact same model today, so that tells you something about them !

just bought one from cpc,a brother and it has a load of the electrical symbols on in,they are around £20 the same one was at elex last year for £90.only needed it for some bits at home but it's decent enough for work.

yep thats the one.

I've also got a Dymo letratag. It was about a tenner from Staples because someone had returned it or something.
It prints sticky labels which are fine for marking isolators etc and the tapes are only a couple of quid off ebay.
It doesn't print onto heatshrink or anything fancy like that.

Some of our field guys use the same ones as phil d has posted. Also got from CPC.
Love is when they send me their sales catalogues. Just as well I'm not rich as I would buy loads of stuff.
