As above. I'm about to start it week after next and wanted to know peoples thoughts etc

It has replaced the 2330 as far as I can remember and you can get it from 2k, not sure the worth of the new course as the numbers keep changing and I have forgotten what means what now.

I think you are thinking of the 2365, thats the course i am doing and it has replaced the 2330.

I have seen the 2356 NVQ advertised online, you submit all your write ups and photos online which i like the idea of

Ah okay thanks for the clarification, I will remember that next time someone asks, cheers, I think the course you are on is a decent course then.

Its a good course and it goes into all the underpinning knowledge and theory that i would imagine the proper apprenticeship route does, only problem is you miss out on the 'on the tools experience' and as such you don't get the NVQ lvl3 with it, you can however do this course then an online NVQ (such as the 2356 providing you are doing the relevant work) and the AM2 i am told this will get you a JIB gold card.

I suppose it depends what you make of it really, if you just do the course and don't bother to get any experience or reading up in your own time then you won't achieve much from it, If you can get out and get the experience and you have a genuine interest in the subject it can give you the foundation to hopefully go on to bigger things

Yeah its the 2356nvq 3 which has been replaced by 2357nvq3. I think the confusion was with 2365 tech cert, that is the one which replaced 2330 tech cert.
Its too bloody confusing!

I'm doing it with xs training, one of this forums sponsors I think. Its costing me ÂŁ1800.inc vat. I don't think they have any places left but call and double check. I'm not sure how much the 2357 is, but I do know you have to do am2 with that (but not with 2356 for some reason) which is extra but xs training don't provide am2, but I'm sure your local college will.

Not a dig at anyone but the title does say 2356 and NOT 2365. Very confusing I know but it is the nvq I'm doing (level3) and not the tech cert as I've already got 2330 which has since been replaced by 2365tech cert.

Ahh yeah sorry mate I read the title wrong my bad, and yes the 2357 you do need the am2 aswell before you can get your nvq3 as it is one full course the 3 years technical certificate and then you have a year to do the am2 and complete the nvq, I have my am2 booked for middle of october which should be fun haha
