Hi Guys

Recently started using these units.... seem decent solid kit for the price.

Just trying to work out how the tails retention glad fits, comes with x2 screws but no holes to screw into ?
Cant imagine you have to drill and tap yourself - maybe I'm missing something 🤔

Anyone help me out please - thanks Sy

I’ve not fitted any of the 1.0’s, but done loads of the 2.0’s recently and they come pre fit. I’m sure they’re secured to a bracket inside the CU.

If the 1.0 doesn’t have that bracket, it may not be compatible, or you need to drill your own holes.

Could always raise a query with their tech desk, they’re pretty good and will let you know.

The sales brochure for the 1.0 shows holes for the tails clamp. I have a site with about 12 of these and they all have the holes.
Are they missing on the units you have?

By the way the 2.0 units have a different sort of clamp. DCA23 is the part number for the tails clamp for the 1.0 range.

My only other thought is that you have a 6 way there, and I wonder if for some reason the smallest one doesn't have them. Never seen the 6 way in real life, these days by the time you've added SPD kit and lost 2 ways there's almost nothing left for circuits!

Most boards i inspect these days rarely anyone seems to use the tail clamp and must just throw them in the bin

I think I have only ever inspected 1 board in the last 18 months where the original fitter secured the tails with the clamp
