Anyone from city & guilds... Can you answer this, ammendment related.

Hi all,

i am currently studying in west london for the 2391.10, i was originally posted to have my exam in december but due to mix ups we wernt put forward and now have our date of 9th feb.

As the amendment comes into force on 31st jan will our exam be marked incorporating the amendment or not?
My lecturer doesnt know and says, 'he cant find out'? Really it kind of matters!!

It may only be worth a few marks but this exam is difficult, many of you may agree, and those few marks will count considerably towards my overall mark

any help or suggestions will be greatfully recieved

From the 1st January 2012, all assessments must be answered to the 2011 amendment 1 only.

he hasn't got a clue!!, Only told us today that we'd also have to look this stuff up, 'just in case it comes up'.

i shall let him and the class know, as i thaught, it most definately will be coming up.

I’ve never been one to advocate litigation, but you and your classmates have a just and viable case. A full refund of your fee’s would be in order. All get together and nail them en-mass via a solicitor. (You have to do it en-mass otherwise the cause is lost).

Go for the jugular and get your money back.

Even loosely under the trades descriptions act they have failed. Where they stand with the Gov’mt provision of training I don’t know.

Surely if you have done the course to the 2008 regs, you should be tested on the same regs ?

I fully agree with you! its not our fault they had some admin error and didn't put us through for the exam in December! i was pretty confident 2 weeks before the exam date too! then the lecturer veered off the therory side and put us on pointless practical tasks!!

i would have thought so too spark68, but id guess the problem is the test is set and the course SHOULD have been tailored to suit!

im thinking if i end up failing this exam, Ive got a bloody good case for a free resit, but on the other hand i want to pass this exam in Feb and not have to wait until September for the next course to start!:rolleyes4:

2391 closes for new registrations on 31 December 2011, with a final certification date of 31
December 2013. Dated entry examinations will continue to be available until the summer of 2012,
exact final date of the 301 and 303 examinations to be confirmed
