Morning all.

Does anyone have a couple of 250 Watters (or 240/245) surplus to requirements that they would be prepared to let go for much cheapness? Used/old stock fine providing they're in decent nick. Preferably within an hour's drive of the West Midlands if possible? It's probably best you don't know what they're for but let's just say that after 3 weeks in the Balkans I've got used to their way of 'make do and mend' (ie. cobbling stuff together) and that bit of free garage roof space at the back of my house looks a bit bare.:freak:

On a possibly related note, I never got into using micro inverters but it would appear that those new Power One jobbies simply need connecting up together and plugging into the mains via an isolator and nothing else. Is that right?

Ta very much.

Don't worry, it would still be G83 compliant, whatever it might be....

We have 2 X 230W and 4 X 280W which might fit requirements? Also have 1 X 235W which could work as a 230W if used with them.
Let me know what you think is a reasonable price and we will try and accommodate you ;-)

245W and 250W we have, but they are always in demand, so unlikely you will find any old cheap modules unless it is a discountinued line or from a company that has gone bust!

Thanks for the reply. Am potentially interested in the 2 x 230W - can you let me know the manufacturer and part number or point me at a spec. sheet before I insult you with my offer?

Thanks

Configuring the power one inverters isn't quite as simple as they'd have you make out :) (and we'd attended their training course) you need to have the web interface box. We just did a 1k extension for someone to their existing 2.2kW system and use power one micros on that. (best price from Rexel by a long way - and they had all the parts on the shelf)

Re your idea above, we've got one array made out of 6 different types of panel (mono, poly, 230w - 260w) that we had as 'end of containers' left over from various jobs - we ran them together using Solar Edge.

What would I do again? Probably Solar Edge, however expansion would be easier with micro's ... (more costly though..)

Just had an email from these guys:

The Fire Energy are the same product as the HJ Solar (HJ is a brand of Fire Energy)

Thanks for the info gents. Am most likely going for a couple of 250's but will let you know if I decide to go for the 230's Mr. Spitfire (feel free to make me an offer I can't refuse in the meantime!!)

Anyone got a Mastervolt Soladin going cheap?! :D
